A Pond in the Valley

This photograph was taken on a recent backpacking trip in the Canadian Rockies. The first thing I do when arriving at a campsite is set up our tent and sleeping gear. After that, I can usually take my time and walk around the area looking for things to shoot. This pond was only steps away from our camping area. I like the fact that it reflects the area from where we came, namely Gibbon Pass. That pass is located just to the left of the triangular peak in the center of the photo, approximately 8.5 km in the distance. The pond was very shallow, which I think helped the image as the exposed rocks added interest to the picture. Thanks again for looking.
