Sky and Surf

This photograph of Banderas Bay was taken on a recent trip to Mexico. I took numerous pictures similar to this one at a few different locations. Using an ND filter enables a photographer to use longer shutter speeds even in bright conditions. I really like the look of the ocean when the waves and water movement is smoothed out using this technique.
In this composition, I positioned my tripod in a way that would allow a shot of the land, water and sky and zoomed in so that these three elements divided the frame into three equal parts, more or less.
