Johnston Creek

I took this photograph in early spring while walking up the trail to Johnston's Canyon. The contrast of the black rocks against the water is what I first noticed. I then positioned myself so that the creek angled diagonally across the image. The sections of snow, water and cliff face going across the picture with their triangular angles gave it a bit of an abstract feel and the black rocks added a little interest.

  1. Great photo Andrew! I too love the black rocks...they almost look mysterious. Very cold.
    Great work!
