Perth Bridge, also known as Smeaton's Bridge after its engineer, crosses over the River Tay. It was completed in 1771. Just 3 years later it survived its first test as ice became trapped under the bridge and formed a dam. Although parts of Perth were flooded, the bridge survived and it has endured numerous floods since.
The reflections of the trees in the water are what I first noticed and then realized that a portion of the bridge itself would create an interesting frame for the photograph.
