View of Odaray Mountain

    This photograph was taken last summer while hiking in the Lake O'Hara region of the Canadian Rockies. It is looking south west over Morning Glory Lakes with a partial view of Odaray Mountain. See the falls on the side of the mountain? It was named in 1887 by J.J. McArthur, and it is believed that 'Odaray' is a Stoney expression meaning 'many waterfalls'. (according to one internet site I looked up). - click on image for better view.
